Israeli army raids a trade union headquarters and destroys its contents in Ramallah

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — An Israeli military force raided the headquarters of the General Trade Union of Workers in the West Bank city of Ramallah on Thursday, confiscating equipment and destroying its contents.

Eyewitnesses told Anatolia that an Israeli military force stormed the city of Ramallah early on Thursday, raided the headquarters of the General Union of Workers in the Services Sector, and confiscated computers and belongings before they withdrew.

Witnesses said troops destroyed the contents of the headquarters.

Clashes erupted between Israeli forces and youths during the operation, during which the army used live bullets, rubber bullets, and tear gas.

There was no official Palestinian comment on the operation.

The Israeli army routinely storms Palestinian cities and towns.

Last Thursday, Israeli forces raided an office of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Ramallah and confiscated computers.
