UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — The Israeli military spotted a missile launch from the territory of the Gaza Strip, but it did not cross the border, the army press service said.

Earlier, the army press service reported that alarms sounded in southern Israel, warning local residents of possible shelling from the Gaza Strip.

“After the first reports of the operation of the siren, a missile launch from the territory of the Gaza Strip was recorded,” the message said.

The military said the rocket did not cross the Israeli border.
