UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The Israeli military reported that six missiles were fired from Israeli Palestinian enclave in Gaza on Israeli territory on Monday, five of which were intercepted.
“The launch of six missiles was recorded from the Gaza Strip. The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted five of them,” the Israeli army said.
Earlier, warning signals about a possible rocket attack sounded in Sderot and a number of border areas in southern Israel . The rear services of the Israeli army decided to cancel school in the south on Monday due to shelling from Gaza. The railway connection between Ashkelon and Be’er Sheva was terminated, roads in areas bordering Gaza were closed.
On Sunday, the southern regions of Israel were subjected to massive shelling from Palestinian Gaza.
