Italian prime minister will visit Turkey on Monday

Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte will pay a working visit to Turkey on Monday at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In a statement, the Turkish Presidency’s Communications Office said the two leaders would discuss bilateral relations and steps that could be taken to improve co-operation between the two countries.

At meetings, the pair are expected to exchange views on current, regional and international developments, especially on Libya.

This will be Conte’s first visit to Turkey since he took office in 2018.
