Jamal Khashoggi memorial: Tribute to slain Saudi journalist

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — Family and friends have paid tribute to journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was killed and his body dismembered a year ago after he went to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Among the attendees was Jeff Bezos Amazon founder and owner of the Washington Post newspaper where Khashoggi was a columnist.

Turkish officials say their investigations indicate that Khashoggi was murdered by a Saudi hit-squad, and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ordered the killing.
