US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — The US state of Kansas confirmed its first coronavirus case, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly announced on Saturday, KHSB reported.
During a press conference Saturday, Kelly said the woman is under 50 and tested positive in early March.
Health officials say she may have contracted the virus in an area in the northeast part of the US, but could not say if she contracted it from another person with the virus.
Right now, state officials are working to contact those she may have been in contact with. She’s in home isolation and doing well, according to officials.
