UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — The supreme leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran stressed that the path of dialogue with Europe is open, but that the United States and those who are hostile to Iran should never be trusted.
Ali Khamenei said that the European promises to Tehran on the nuclear deal is empty, saying that it is unlikely that the Europeans will act against the sanctions of the United States, so we should give hope to the Europeans.
He added: “European ideas are identical with the American … Europeans enter as mediators, negotiate, telephone and talk a lot and make promises, and all their promises are empty.”
Khamenei stressed that Iran has not closed the door to negotiation and cooperation with any country in the world except the United States and the Zionist entity.
He called on the European countries to take practical steps, if they are sincere, expressing confidence that the Europeans will do nothing in favor of Iran, and should not be relied upon in their hollow promises.
