Kosovo unaffected by coronavirus

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — Kosovo is still unaffected by the coronavirus.

The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (IHPK) has announced that five patients were tested yesterday, suspected of coronavirus and after laboratory tests of the samples taken, they proved negative.

“From 08.02.2020 to 09.03.2020, in the Molecular Microbiology Laboratory at NIPHK by RT-PCR method, a total of 62 suspicious samples were tested and all of them resulted negative,” the report said.

The Committee for Coordination and Evaluation of the Coronavirus Situation in Kosovo also met today to review the epidemiological situation in Kosovo regarding Covid-19, writes the Telegraph.

After the meeting, the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia announced the 5 suspected cases turned out to be negative, and there is no confirmed case of coronavirus in Kosovo.
