Kuwaiti airlines suspended flights to Beirut because of threats to Syria

IRAQ (OBSERVATORY) –¬†Kuwait Airlines Kuwait Airways suspended flights to the Lebanese capital Beirut in connection with the threats of US President Donald Trump to strike at the neighboring Lebanon of Syria.

“It has been decided to suspend flights to Beirut from Thursday 12 April,” the company said on Twitter .

The company explained that the decision was made after receiving appropriate warnings from the authorities of Cyprus, according to which the use of Lebanese airspace can be associated with a threat to flight safety.

Kuwait’s airlines are asked to take their understanding of this decision, adopted in accordance with security requirements, and promise to immediately notify of a change in the situation.
