RUSSIA (OBSERVATORY) – The West has nothing to substantiate the missile strike on Syria, except for information published in the media and social networks. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the 26th Assembly of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy.
He recalled that earlier France claimed that it allegedly has irrefutable evidence of the involvement of the Syrian government headed by Bashar Assad in the hematocaque. During telephone conversations, Russian President Vladimir Putin appealed to his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron to provide this information, but he refused.
Lavrov noted that the missile strike was made especially on the eve of the beginning of the work of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in the Syrian Duma.
Information on the Khimatak, which allegedly occurred on April 7, was distributed by non-governmental organizations, including the White Helmets. The activists claimed that the Syrian troops had used a poisonous substance in the Syrian Duma. As evidence they brought photo and video materials, which depicted “affected by the chemotherapy.”
Russia has repeatedly stated that the evidence is fake , and the purpose of provocation is to disrupt the truce in East Ghouta.
A missile attack on Syria’s military and civilian infrastructure facilities was inflicted on April 14. In the military operation involved the United States, Britain and France.
