Maldives report first 2 cases of coronavirus

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — The first two cases of infection with a new type of coronavirus were recorded in the Maldives. This was announced on Saturday a local online newspaper of Sun.

According to her, the sick are foreign employees of the resort on the island of Kuredu. It is noted that the resort where they worked is closed.

An outbreak caused by the new coronavirus disease was recorded in late December 2019 in Wuhan, China.
