Man burn himself in protest front of Ukraine parliament (VIDEO)

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Ukraine’s Alexander Burlakov set himself on fire in front of the Parliament building in Kiev. It all happened during the protest of medical workers who are protesting because of poor working conditions.

Hundreds of participants immediately ran to help him, though his entire body was engulfed in flames. However they managed to extinguish it.

At first Burlakov was thought to be a disgruntled nurse who set himself on fire, but eventually found to be a person who had been in trouble for years with a property.

“My action has nothing to do with the protest. For 5 years I want to solve the property problem. The local authorities are constantly lying to me, everyone is lying to us. I don’t see a way out, I’ve never done anyone wrong. I just want somebody to hear me, to hear the people,” said Burlakov, who was rushed to hospital after the burns he suffered.

The Cabinet of the President of Ukraine has announced that the man suffered minor injuries and that he would personally deal with the problem.
