GERMANY (OBSERVATORY) – German Chancellor Angela Merkel has called for maintaining a nuclear deal with Iran, while calling for a discussion of Tehran’s missile program.
The German Chancellor pointed out that this position of the deal with Iran, is similar to the position of many members of the European Union.
“We will continue to push us, specifically to maintain the nuclear agreement as well as to expand the negotiating framework,” Merkel said.
Merkel stressed the need for Israel to quickly transmit its information on Iran to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed on Monday what he said were evidence of a secret Iranian nuclear weapons program in a development that could encourage the United States to withdraw from a 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.
