According to Al Arabia correspondent, about ten attackers arrived at the entrance to the office in cars, they were dressed in black clothes, and their faces were hidden by masks.

According to him, the militants broke into the office of the channel, beat employees and broke equipment. As a result of the attack, there are victims, but their number is not specified.

The reporter also claims that Iraqi police refused to assist the canal team during the attack. In turn, Iraqi officials assured him that they were investigating the circumstances of the attack.

An Al Arabia correspondent added that the Baghdad branch of the television station has received threats in recent days and has asked Iraqi security agencies to ensure the safety of its employees. For some time, they were indeed provided with protection, but due to protests in the country, law enforcement forces were needed for other tasks.
