INDONESIA (OBSERVATORY) – Over 80 people died in Indonesia as a result of poisoning with counterfeit alcohol. Over the past day, the number of victims has reached more than 20 people, reports Bloomberg .
The province of West Java, where more than 50 people were killed, suffered most as a result of poisoning with counterfeit alcohol. In the capital of the country – Jakarta – 31 people died.
The doctors note that the victims are being delivered to medical institutions with shortness of breath, clouded consciousness and visual impairment.
On this fact, the police of Western Java arrested seven people suspected of producing and selling counterfeit alcohol, but there was no connection between them. There is also no evidence that one underground producer may be involved in mass population poisoning.
