Moscow: New US sanctions unacceptable

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — The new US sanctions against a company, three individuals and five ships under the pretext of supplying jet fuel to Russian forces in Syria are totally unacceptable, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

“This seems to be a continuation of the old US policy, which is based on unilateral sanctions, which we consider totally unacceptable,” said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin.

The recent sanctions imposed by the United States relate, in particular, to three Russian citizens working for Suv Freight.

Earlier on Thursday, the US Treasury Department announced sanctions against three individuals, five ships and Maritime Assistance LLC for allegedly providing jet fuel to Russian forces in Syria.
