National Interest calls Su-35 a real threat to US fighters

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — The American magazine National Interest called the Russian Su-35 fighter a real threat to American aircraft.

The article emphasizes that the Su-35 is a dangerous adversary for the US Air Force F-15, F-18, and even F-35

The publication highlights the maneuverability superior to the evasion methods of almost all existing fourth-generation fighters and weapons as the main advantages of the Russian aircraft.

So, the Su-35 is equipped with a 30-mm gun GSH-30-1 with 150 shells and can carry up to eight tons of weapons at 12 nodes of the suspension, while the new American F-22 has only seven points for placing weapons.

The author of the article notes that due to its characteristics, the Russian fighter is in demand in other countries. So, the Su-35 is already in service with the Chinese Air Force. Potential buyers include Indonesia, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, India, and the UAE.
