Nearly hundred cars collided in US accident (VIDEO)

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — An eyewitness posted a video on the web capturing one of three major accidents that occurred near one another on the tracks in Wyoming in the western United States.

The events that appeared on the video took place last Sunday, March 1, but the recording became available only now.

Heavy snowfall caused serious difficulties on the motorways. All accidents occurred according to the standard scheme – several cars had an accident and blocked the passage.

Drivers following too late noticed vehicles that had accumulated on the roadway and crashed into them. Ice and snowdrifts reduced the chances of successful braking and narrowed the room for maneuver.

A woman traveling with her nephews from Denver to Utah shot just such a situation on a smartphone camera. According to the author of the video, shortly before that, she saw an information board on the track informing drivers of ice, snowstorms and poor visibility.

According to the police, voiced by the media , on Sunday there were three major accidents involving 30, 25 and 40 cars. As a result of this, three people were killed – a 53-year-old woman driving a Toyota Highlander crossover, and two truck drivers – men 64 and 27 years old.

The number of minor accidents is not specified.

Three dozen people received injuries of varying severity. It is noted that most of the victims are drivers of commercial “vehicles”.

To prevent new accidents, the authorities decided to ban several sections of the road, with a total length of about 320 kilometers. To evacuate people whose cars were wrecked and blocked, school buses had to be used.
