Netanyahu told Putin that Israel will not allow Iran to gain a foothold in Syria

ISRAEL (OBSERVATORY) –┬áIsraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin that his country will not allow the Iranian military to gain a foothold in Syria, the press service of the head of government said.

“Prime Minister Netanyahu reiterated that Israel will not allow an Iranian military presence in Syria,” the press release said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the phone discussed Syrian issues, including in connection with the Israeli Air Force rocket attacks on the airfield “Tifor” in the province of Homs, said the Kremlin’s press service earlier.
