North Korea officially announces freeze on nuclear, missile tests

NORTH KOREA (OBSERVATORY) – North Korea announced it will stop nuclear tests and launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles from April 21, South Korean Yonhap reported, citing North’s state media.

The decision follows a meeting of the central committee of the Worker’s Party of Korea.

“From April 21, North Korea will stop nuclear tests and launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles,” stated the Korean Central News Agency. “The North will shut down a nuclear test site in the country’s northern side to prove the vow to suspend nuclear test.”
