UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The President of Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelinsky office is scheduled to call the Iranian counterpart, Hassan Rouhani, on Saturday after Tehran said it had accidentally shot down a Ukrainian passenger plane, Ukraine’s office said.
The Ukrainian plane, which was on a flight to Kiev, crashed shortly after take-off from Tehran on Wednesday, and all of the 176 people on board were killed in the accident.
