OPCW inspectors arrive in Syria

SYRIA (OBSERVATORY) – A team of international inspectors arrived in Syria to seek evidence of the use of chemical weapons in an attack on civilians in the city of Douma in the eastern Ghouta, which was subject to the Syrian armed opposition.

The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) says its experts will be deployed in the region on Saturday.

Reports quoted US officials as saying they had received blood samples and urine for people who were exposed to chlorine gas as well as a nerve agent.
