Over 82,000 people are affected by coronavirus worldwide

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The number of people infected with the new coronavirus (Covid-19) which appeared in the city of Wuhan, China and then spread worldwide, has exceeded the figure of 82,100.

As a result of the coronavirus epidemic, 2,801 people have died so far, 2,744 in China and two in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Covid-19 has caused loss of life in other countries where it has spread. As a result, 19 people were killed in Iran, 13 in South Korea, 12 in Italy, 7 in Japan, 2 in France and one in Taiwan and the Philippines.

While the number of confirmed cases has exceeded 82,100, in China 78,497 cases have been registered in mainland China, 91 in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and 10 in the Macau Special Administrative Region. There are also 32 cases registered in Taiwan.

According to data compiled by authorized health institutions and local press of countries reporting coronavirus outbreaks the number of cases is as follows:
