Pashinyan becomes the only candidate for Prime Minister of Armenia

ARMENIA (OBSERVATORY) – The opposition leader in Armenia Nikol Pashinyan became the only candidate nominated for the post of prime minister of the country.

This was reported in the press service of the Armenian parliament.

They noted that there are no other candidates.

“The faction of the National Assembly (Parliament) Elk, according to the provisions of the Constitution, nominated Nikol Pashinyan as the Prime Minister of Armenia, there are no other candidates,” the statement of the Armenian press service said.

It is noted that the deadline for applying for the post of prime minister expired at 17:00.

For the election, it is necessary to collect 53 votes out of 105. To elect him, candidates must be supported by members of the ruling Republican Party.
