Passenger plane crash-landed at Sabiha Gokcen Airport in Istanbul

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The plane rolled out of the runway at Sabiha Gokcen Airport in Istanbul, the Daily Sabah reports.

According to the publication, after the plane rolled out of the strip, a fire started on its board.

According to the newspaper, “all passengers were evacuated.”

The footage of the TV channel shows that the plane also caught fire and collapsed into three parts. All passengers were evacuated.

“The plane made a hard landing, no one died,” NTV Channel quoted Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Jahit Turan as saying.

According to updated data, there were 177 passengers and six crew members on board.

A Haber Channel reports that the plane belonged to the Turkish airline Pegasus Airlines. 

As a preliminary reason for the incident, a strong wind is called upon landing.

The prosecutor’s office of Istanbul has already begun an investigation of what happened.

Earlier, CNN Turk reported that the plane crashed at the Istanbul airport.
