UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – Paul Manafort jury has reached a verdict on 8 of 18 counts in the fraud trial of former Trump campaign chairman.
Former head of Donald Trump’s campaign headquarters, Paul Manafort, was found guilty of eight counts of 18, MSNBC reported referring to a jury verdict read by the judge.
The jury found Manafort guilty of tax fraud. The judge declared invalid the charges for 10 more points, according to which the jury did not reach an agreement.
Manafort was accused of bank fraud and tax evasion.
The verdict on the case will be rendered later. Recognizing the guilty means that Manafort, most likely, will be sentenced to prison terms.
