UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — General G. Soleimani assassinated by the United States. In a statement issued this Friday morning January 3, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps confirms the assassination by the Apache helicopters of the American army, of the Iranian high commander, not far from the airport of Baghdad.
“High Commander Soleimani was killed as a martyr in a cowardly rocket attack on American helicopters. The attack also claimed the lives of the Hachd al-Chaabi deputy commander-in-chief, Abu Mahdi Mohandes.”
Rather in the evening, Iraqi sources reported an attack by American helicopter triple rockets against targets not far from Baghdad airport. Helicopters flew over the skies of Baghdad all Thursday including the Iranian embassy in the green zone. Initial information had reported the death as a martyr during this attack of the spokesman of Hachd al-Chaabi, including the head of public relations of the movement, Mohamed al Jaberi during this attack.
In a statement issued this Friday morning, the Pentagon claims the assassination of the commander-in-chief of the Quds Force affirming that “the order of the assassination came from the person of American president”: “On the order of the president, the US military assassinated Soleimani in an act to defend US personnel outside of US borders. ” The text, which is completely defamatory, later accuses the Quds Force of being behind the Tuesday assault on crowds of Iraqis angry at the American embassy in Baghdad.
A few minutes ago, the Iranian Supreme National Security Council issued a press release announcing an extraordinary meeting: “After the cowardly assassination of the high commander-in-chief of the Quds Force, the Supreme Security Council will meet urgently. It is a question of examining the criminal act of the American forces in Iraq of striking the convoy carrying General Soleimani and of his death as a martyr.”
Tehran’s first reaction, the Iranian foreign minister sent a message a few minutes ago via Twitter:
The US' act of international terrorism, targeting & assassinating General Soleimani—THE most effective force fighting Daesh (ISIS), Al Nusrah, Al Qaeda et al—is extremely dangerous & a foolish escalation.
The US bears responsibility for all consequences of its rogue adventurism.

“The international terrorism practiced by the United States, which has just been illustrated through the assassination of General Soleimani, one of the most salient figures in the fight against Daesh, Al-Nusra, Al-Qaida and Co. an eminently dangerous act and marking an escalation in crazy American behavior. It is in the United States that the responsibility and the repercussions of this adventurism come back right.”
