Pentagon chief calls Russia biggest challenge to US

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — In the field of security, Russia is the biggest challenge for the United States, said Pentagon President Mark Esper at a conference on the development of the country’s air force.

According to him, while Washington was busy with operations in the Middle East, its strategic rivals increased strength and expanded its influence.

“Russia remains for us the biggest security challenge in the near future,” Esper said.
