UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – The US Defense Department said on Monday evening that the United States is not conducting any military operations near the base of air barricades in Syria.
“There are currently no US military operations in the area and we can not provide further details at this time,” a Pentagon spokesman told Sputnik on the background of a missile strike on the base.
Syrian air defenses are responding to a missile attack on the Shaareat airport, the official Syrian news agency SANA said late on Monday.
The Syrian agency said that the defenses of the air force responded to missiles targeting the airport Shaerat in the countryside of Homs and dropped.
While the field source revealed that the Syrian air defenses dropped about 10 missiles before arrival at the airport hairs in the eastern Homs countryside.
The source added that “the air defenses responded to all the hostile missiles and there is no damage in the airports of hairs and Tifour Brif Homs.”
