Pete Buttigieg ends US presidential race

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Pete Buttigieg, 38-year-old former South Bend, Ind., mayor, ends presidential bid.

Former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Pete Buttigieg intends to stop participating in the fight for the US presidential candidate from the Democratic Party. This was announced on Sunday by his representative to reporters of NBC and CNN.

Pete Buttigieg entered the campaign in April 2019. He managed to win the meeting of party activists in Iowa in early February.

The former mayor of South Bend, Ind. rose from obscurity to the top levels of the presidential race, but he was unable to sustain the campaign against better-known national Democrats.
