UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday (September 7th) in Tehran, the Iranian capital, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said.
A meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin will be held in the Iranian capital Tehran on 7 September, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said today.
Turkish diplomacy also stressed that the two heads of state were in direct contact. The summit between Russia, Turkey and Iran would include issues related to the resolution of the situation in the Idlib region of Syria.
The previous meeting of MM. Putin and Erdogan go back to last July. It took place at the BRICS summit (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) in Johannesburg, South Africa.
