RUSSIA (OBSERVATORY) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said about the devastating impact of the current escalation of the situation around Syria on the whole system of international relations.
Commenting on the attack by the United States, Britain and France on Damascus, the head of state recalled that it was Washington that was responsible for the massacres in the former Yugoslavia, Iraq and Libya.
“History will put everything in its place, and it has already laid heavy responsibility on Washington for the bloody massacre of Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya”, – noted in Putin’s statement on the Kremlin’s website.
On April 13, US President Donald Trump gave orders to strike missiles on Syria. So Washington reacted to the alleged chemical attack in the Syrian city of the Duma. France and Britain joined the decision of the American leader.
On April 14, the United States, France and the United Kingdom dealt several air strikes against Damascus. The Russian air defense did not take part in repulsing the air strike.
