UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – Yemeni forces continue to inflict both material and human casualties on the Riyadh-led coalition on various fronts.
Al-Masirah quoted a Yemeni military source as saying on Thursday (August 30th) that a Badr-1-type ballistic missile had been fired at a garrison of the newly-built Saudi coalition in Najran.
In addition, the attack by the Yemeni army’s engineering unit and the People’s Committees on the al-Durayhimi front resulted in the destruction of a Saudi armored vehicle and the death of all its passengers.
In the city of al-Tahyta, another armored vehicle was destroyed by a missile of the Yemeni forces.
These attacks follow the desertion of a Chinese-made drone of the Saudi coalition.
On the other hand, Saudi bombers repeatedly hit drinking water wells on Kamaran Island attached to Hudaydah governorate and a residential area. Four Yemenis were wounded and one child was killed.
With support from Washington, Saudi Arabia has been conducting a military campaign against Yemen since March 2015. The toll of human casualties is heavy: more than 15,000 civilians have been killed, millions more displaced.
