Robert Iger replaced as chief of Walt Disney Company

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — The American corporation Walt Disney announced the appointment of Bob Chapek as the new CEO.

Chapek, who previously served as the head of one of the corporation’s divisions, will succeed Robert Iger.

“I believe that now is the best time to transfer power to the new CEO … I fully trust Bob and expect close cooperation with him over the next 22 months,” Iger said in a statement to the corporation.

It is noted that the former CEO will occupy the position of executive director of the company and manage creative projects until the end of his contract on December 31, 2021.
