UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said his country is fighting an economic, psychological and political war imposed by the United States, stressing that Iran’s victory in this confrontation is inevitable.
“Our main problem today is economic, and of course the war imposed on us is economic, psychological and to a certain extent political, and we must end this war with the victory of the Iranian people against the aggressors,” Rowhani said.
Rouhani added: “This is not only possible, but inevitable, given the historical past of the Iranian people and the divine promises.”
“With unity, unity, patience, resistance and new creations, we can win. Perhaps the administration of the country today is a little different from the way we did in previous years,” he said. “It is certain that our officials and managers can, through new innovations, turn the dilemmas and problems we face into opportunities”.
Rouhani’s remarks came in a sign of great tension between Iran and the United States, which withdrew on May 8, 2018 from the agreement on Tehran’s nuclear program and imposed severe economic sanctions on the Islamic Republic, accusing it of supporting terrorism and regional destabilization, coinciding with the intensification of military discourse by both sides towards Each other.
