Russia accuses Turkey of not yet fulfilled the Sochi accords on Syria

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that Turkey has not yet fulfilled the terms of the agreements on Syria.

– In this case, we can unequivocally say that the conditions of the Sochi accords, which were signed by two presidents more than a year ago, have not yet been fulfilled, and where it was said that Turkey would have to ensure the breeding, demarcation, withdrawal of heavy weapons and so on – said Peskov on the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” on Russia-1.

We will remind you that earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron, his colleague from Turkey Recep Erdogan and German Chancellor Angela Merkel discussed the situation in Syria over the telephone and came to the decision that a meeting in a quadripartite format with the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin on it is necessary. Erdogan confirmed his intention to meet in such a composition.
