Russia says US blocked visas for UN delegation

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — The United States has not granted visas to several members of its delegation to participate in the work of the UN General Assembly, Interfax news agency reported on Tuesday, calling the move a violation of Washington’s international obligations.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov would discuss the situation with his US counterpart Mike Pompeo in New York.
