Russian Deputy Airat Khairullin dead in helicopter crash

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — State Duma deputy Airat Khairullin died as a result of a hard landing of a helicopter in Tatarstan, a source in emergency services told RIA.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, two other people on board survived.

The press service of the Ministry of Emergencies RIA confirmed the death of one person, they added that two survivors were sent to the hospital.

Earlier it became known that a private Bell helicopter with three people on board crashed in the Lashevsky district of Tatarstan.

The accident occurred six kilometers from the shore of the Kuibyshev reservoir, 30 kilometers from Kazan.

The emergency services specified that a group of rescuers on a hovercraft went to the crash site.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the helicopter flew from the village of Levashovo, Alekseevsky district, to Matyushino, Lashevsky district.
