Russian embassy in Britain: attacks on Syria were made under false pretenses

RUSSIA (OBSERVATORY) –┬áThe Russian Embassy in the UK issued a statement in connection with the military operation of the United States, Britain and France in Syria. It indicates that these countries have struck missiles on Syria under false pretenses.

This is reported on the Facebook page of the mission.

“We do not need deep knowledge to understand that we are dealing with an attack under a false pretext, a false legal basis and a false result,” the statement said.

The embassy also noted that Britain’s Foreign Minister Boris Johnson explained the true reason for the military operation in Syria.

“Today British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson acknowledged that the strikes were designed not to save lives or indeed force President Bashar Assad to abandon further allegedly planned chemical attacks. They should be viewed simply as a “message”, the appeal says.

The diplomatic mission was reminded that international legislation allows the use of force only for self-defense or under a UN mandate.

On the night of April 14, the armed forces of the United States, Britain and France dealt a blow to Syria. The Ministry of Defense of Russia reported that the United States and its allies have fired more than 100 missiles.
