Russian Su-35 showed aerobatics in the sky over Istanbul (VIDEO)

UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — The Russian Su-35 fighter and Be-200 amphibious aircraft demonstrated capabilities in the sky over Istanbul, Anadolu reported.

The planes arrived in Turkey to participate in the 2nd Teknofest Technology Festival, which will be held from September 17 to 22.

The flight of the Su-35 lasted about 15 minutes. The fighter pilot demonstrated various aerobatics. The Be-200 amphibious aircraft, which took off next, worked out fire extinguishing maneuvers.

Earlier, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan visited the MAKS-2019 air show along with Vladimir Putin. According to the Turkish leader, Ankara became interested in the Su-35 and Su-57. Erdogan said that the parties are negotiating the supply of Russian fighters.

Su-35 – multipurpose fighter, transitional link between the Su-27 and Su-57. In 2015-2018, 24 fighters were delivered to China, another 11 intend to sell Indonesia next year.

Be-200 – one of the most unusual multi-purpose aircraft, it is used in fire fighting, search and rescue operations, as well as for the transport of passengers and goods. According to a number of flight performance characteristics, the Be-200 has no analogues in the world.

Nine aircraft are used by the Ministry of Emergencies, another 24 are preparing for delivery. One plane is operated by Azerbaijan. Orders for the Be-200 came from Indonesia, China, the United States and Chile.
