Saleh: The ceasefire in Libya is over – the war will continue

Speaker of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives Aguila Saleh, supporter of illegitimate armed forces in eastern Libya, Khalifa Haftar has announced that in Libya “the ceasefire is over and the war will continue”.

Speaking on local Libyan television, Saleh said that Turkey’s and Russia’s call for a ceasefire on January 12 has given a positive response “out of respect for Russian President Vladimir Putin”.

“For us the ceasefire is over and the war will continue,” Saleh said in a statement.

Concerning the failure to succeed in the Tripoli conflicts, Saleh said that “Turkey’s intervention has delayed for us to achieve results in the fight to recover Tripoli.”
