Samsung has launched a free smartphone disinfection service

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — When a coronavirus pandemic spreads across the planet, it is important to follow the most stringent hygiene rules. Samsung has decided to help users of their gadgets with this by launching the sanitizing service for Galaxy Sanitizing smartphones.

Of course, you can wipe the device with an alcohol cloth or a cloth. But Samsung warned that this could harm the oleophobic coating of the display and the body of the smartphone. Galaxy Sanitizing – contactless cleaning of the smartphone with ultraviolet radiation, which will not harm the surfaces of the device.

According to the SamMobile portal, the company conducted preliminary testing of the methodology and claims that ultraviolet does not affect performance in any way. However, Samsung representatives do not recommend UV disinfection at home using third-party devices.

You can disinfect the gadget in the service centers and official stores of the company. In addition to smartphone owners, Galaxy Sanitizing service can be used by owners of the Galaxy Watch smart watches and Galaxy Buds headphones.

Now ultraviolet cleaning is available in 19 countries of the world, including in Russia. In the near future, Galaxy Sanitizing will appear in another 25 countries.
