Sanders allowed military action against China

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — US Senator Bernie Sanders said the need to provide military assistance to Taiwan in the event of an invasion by China , the CBS reports on February 24.

From Sanders’ point of view, military intervention would be justified, since Taiwan is an ally of the United States.

“I think we should make it clear to the whole world that we will not be inactive,” Sanders emphasized in an interview with the publication.

Recall that despite the fact that Taiwan has been a de facto independent state since 1949, most of the world does not recognize this fact, preferring to cooperate with Taipei informally.
