Saudi Arabia will allocate $ 200 million in financial aid to Palestine

SAUDI ARABIA (OBSERVATORY) – Riyadh will provide 200 million dollars in financial aid to Palestine, Saudi Arabia’s President Salman Ben Abdulaziz Al Saud said on Sunday during the Arab League summit (LAS).

The summit of LAS takes place on Sunday in the Saudi city of Dhahran.

According to the monarch, $ 150 million will be sent to the Palestinian Muslim property fund Waqf, another 50 million to the UNRWA budget – the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East.

In mid-January, US authorities announced that they were holding down $ 65 million from a voluntary contribution to the UNRWA budget and limiting it to 60 million.

The Middle East Agency has already announced that the decision of the United States seriously complicates the fulfillment of the tasks stipulated by its mandate. Now the agency is forced to reduce the staff.
