Sberbank denied reports of customer data leakage

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY NEWS) — Sberbank has denied reports of customer data leakage: the media is discussing old information about data loss from other banks in 2015-2016.

Today edition Izvestia disseminated information that allegedly the data of 20 thousand customers of Sberbank were put up for sale on the Internet.

“The publications refer to information from 2015-2016, the leak of which the bank also had no relation,” – said RIA Novosti in the largest bank in the country.

In recent years, a number of banks and companies have discovered customer data leaks. The threat has become global and tens of millions of dollars are being spent on its elimination.
