Secret meeting between CIA director and Kim Jong-un

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – CIA Director Michael Pompeo, nominated by US leader Donald Trump for the post of Secretary of State, during a secret trip to North Korea on Easter weekend, held a meeting with the leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un.

The Washington Post writes about this with reference to its sources.

“This extraordinary meeting between one of Trump’s most trusted emissaries and the authoritarian leader of a rogue country is part of an effort to lay the foundations for direct talks between Trump and Kim Jong-un about a North Korean nuclear weapons program,” the report said.

It is alleged that Pompeo secretly traveled to North Korea shortly after Trump nominated him for the post of Secretary of State.
