UNITED STATES, WASHINGTON (OBSERVATORY) — Samuel Little claims to have committed 93 murders, 50 of which were verified by the federal police. He is serving a life sentence since 2014.
The FBI has launched an appeal to identify the victims of Samuel Little, 79, who confessed to committing 93 murders. The Bureau considers these confessions credible and 50 of them have already been verified.
The serial killer claims to have strangled his 93 victims between 1970 and 2005. In many cases, the investigators had concluded to an accidental death, by overdose or a no-cause, the federal police said. Some bodies have never been found.
The FBI has appealed to anyone with any information related to these killings and has broadcast a series of videos where Samuel Little confides on his victims, as well as portraits drawn by the murderer.
“For years, Samuel Little thought he could get away with it because he thought no one cared about his victims,” said Christie Palazzolo, an FBI criminal analyst. “Even though he’s already in jail, the FBI believes it’s important to do justice to every victim and close every possible case.”
“Many people have probably been charged in my place, if I can help anyone out of jail, then God could smile a little bit more,” Samuel Little confessed to the CBS television network. “I think I’m the only one in the world who did that and it’s not an honor, it’s a curse,” he said.
The man was sentenced to life in 2014, after being convicted of three murders committed between 1987 and 1989.
