Six Palestinians injured in protests on the Gaza-Israel border

UNITED STATES (OBSERVATORY) – Six Palestinians were wounded on Friday at the border between the Gaza Strip and Israel when Israeli troops opened fire on demonstrators who threw stones and burned tires near the border fence.

Palestinian medics said one of the injured was in serious condition.

This comes as the protest, called the “Great March of Return”, enters its third week.

An Israeli army spokesman said the troops were “responding by means of dispersing rioters and firing in accordance with the rules of engagement.”
