Sources: Scores killed, including children in air strikes in Saada, Yemen

YEMEN (OBSERVATORY) – Air strikes killed scores of people, including children, in Yemen’s Saada, Yemeni medical sources and the International Committee of the Red Cross said on Thursday.

“Scores of dead and more people are injured, most of them under the age of 10,” said Johannes Brauer, head of the Red Cross delegation in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia and allied Sunni Arab states have been battling Yemen for more than three years against the Shi’ite Islamist group Houthi, which controls northern Yemen, including the capital Sanaa, which the group ousted the Saudi-backed government from in 2014.
