Spain recorded a second death from coronavirus

US, WASHINGTON (NEWS OBSERVATORY) — The second death from a new coronavirus was recorded in Spain. This was reported on Wednesday by the newspaper El Pais.

According to her, an 82-year-old man suffering from chronic diseases died in the autonomous community of the Basque Country. On Tuesday, Valencia authorities announced that on February 13, the first person died in Spain from a coronavirus.

Now the country has identified more than 200 infected. Most cases are recorded in the autonomous community of Madrid.

The outbreak caused by the new coronavirus disease was recorded at the end of December 2019 in the city of Wuhan.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized it as an epidemic with many foci and an emergency of international proportions. Outside of China, the most infected in South Korea, Iran and Italy.

In total, cases of infection were detected in more than 70 countries, including Russia. In China, which accounts for the bulk of cases, almost 3 thousand deaths were recorded, almost 50 thousand people recovered, the number of cases of infection remained at 80 thousand.

According to WHO, the number of cases exceeded 10.5 thousand outside the PRC, over 160 people have died.
